Godo Boutique Hotel

Our story

Feeling comfortable and relaxed in a peaceful and memorable environment

Our story

The story of our boutique hotel is a story full of love and memories gathered in the heart of a beautiful old house. I am the only survivor of this family and I am happy that you have come here to review a part of this history together.

A few decades ago, this was a warm and friendly home. My father, a captain, loved the sea and his stories of distant voyages filled the souls of each of us with hope and desire.

My mother, Farangis, was a woman with a big heart and endless love. With her artistic hands, she prepared delicious and fragrant dishes for us, and with every meal, she put her love at the heart of the table. We were two children: me, Delaram, and my brother, Arzhang.

Arzhang was always full of excitement and enthusiasm; he created imaginary stories for us and told us how one day we would embark on great journeys. But destiny leads a person down paths they never expect.

Now, it is just me and their memories. This house, much like a lover’s heart, is filled with reminiscences. Its walls each tell a story—the story of laughter, tears, celebrations, and the pain that has gathered over the years.

By restoring and transforming this house into a boutique hotel, our goal is to keep the spirit of that era alive—to brew fresh tea and, together with you, our newly arrived guests, recreate the warmth of the past

We hope that as you walk through this house, you feel as if you are part of our story, experiencing a piece of the captain’s journey, Farangis’ grace, Arzhang’s imagination, and Delaram’s nostalgia

Let us travel back in time together and create memories of love and family that will forever remain in our hearts.

Lolagar Alley

An alley in the heart of Tehran that seems to have a mirror in its middle. Its two sides are identical, its doors and windows shoulder to shoulder, its iron railings in step with their opposites. This is Lolagar Alley, a story born in symmetry and repetition, in a perfect symmetry that can be seen in its architecture with traces of love and precision.

Mohammad Bagher and Akbar Lolagar, two brothers who one day decided to build houses in this alley, neither one more nor the other less. And Master Hassan Bana, with a rare taste, brought such elegance to his work that it is as if the houses were carved from a single mold. Even their shadows fall on the cobblestones of the alley in the afternoon light, exactly the same size and in harmony.

At the corner of the alley, a 107-year-old building with a fresh face welcomes passersby. Now, it bears the name Café Godot, with its signature red hinges. Upstairs, Boutique Hotel Godot awaits guests who appreciate the hidden stories woven into its architecture, offering a space and narrative unlike any other.

Our story continues with you now because:

When there was no one, there was us!

But Lolagar is not only famous for its symmetry and beauty. A little further on, Pizza Davud, the first pizzeria in Tehran, is where the smell of hot bread and melted cheese takes you back in time. Where different generations have left their memories among the old tables and simple but tasty plates.

Lolagar Alley, a passage between the past and the present, is a story of brotherhood, precision, art and the fragrance of good life. An alley that has thousands of stories to tell in its silence.
